We treat leeches at home
We are treated with leeches at home. hirudotherapy, or treatment with medical leeches, is based on the special composition of the saliva of these animals. It contains a number of biologically active substances that have anti-allergic, antiaggregant (ie, able to dissolve blood clots and thin the blood), anti-inflammatory properties.
Who needs structured water?
With this therapy, you can treat rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma, carbunculosis, furunculosis, eczema, and atopic dermatitis.
Hirudotherapy is also indicated for people who have had a stroke, suffer from angina, hypertension, neurological diseases and thrombophlebitis. Leeches increase the immune system and help reduce the toxic effects of drugs. But even this miracle drug has contraindications-hemophilia, as well as Oncology, any acute diseases, menstruation, pregnancy. Even at home, it is desirable to conduct hirudotherapy under the supervision of a specialist doctor.
How to keep leeches?
Keep leeches in a glass container half filled with clean water. Remember: it is strictly forbidden to use mineral water and chilled boiling water. If you take water from the tap, it must first be defended for at least a day. You should change the water every day.
If you notice that the leech does not respond to stimuli, then they should be immediately removed from the common vessel. These animals should not be fed. They do not tolerate harsh smells, noise and bright light.
How to perform the procedure?
The best time for hirudotherapy is in the evening, right after dinner. The number of leeches per session should not exceed five or six. Before the procedure, you need to prepare cotton swabs, a band-aid, a bandage, and a vessel for used leeches. The room should be ventilated; sharp odors, both in the air and on the skin can spoil the entire procedure.
After saturation, the leech will disappear. If this does not happen, then you can remove the leech yourself: lubricate the bite site with a swab of alcohol. At the end of the session, a hemostatic bandage is applied to the bitten place for a day.
