But this is not only poor health and constant drowsiness, but also a deterioration in appearance – the skin becomes dry, nails weak and brittle. In addition, chronic diseases are aggravated.
What should we do to prevent beriberi from catching us by surprise? First and foremost is to eat right. After all, it is with food that the lion’s share of all vitamins and minerals comes. On the table must be fresh vegetables and fruits, you can in the form of salads. Drink fresh juices, as well as dairy and fermented milk products. It is necessary to eat at least five times a day, the diet is varied, with a minimum amount of fat and sweet. It is also very important to walk more in the fresh air.
